Free Healthy Recipe - Fillet Steak with Caper & Olive Salsa

Low carbohydrate

It's not a great idea to eat red meat every day, but if your body cries out for it, respond to those cries! It's a good idea to serve some kind of pickle with red meat, to aid digestion.

Ingredients
2 125 gram fillet steaks
1 tbsp olive oil
2 serves Italian green salad, (see recipe list)

Salsa:
1 medium vine-ripened tomato, cut into small pieces
½ bunch fresh coriander, roughly chopped
½ small red chilli, seeded and finely chopped
1 lime juiced
½ cup kalamata olives, pitted and finely chopped
½ tbsp capers, rinsed and chopped
Method

Wipe the fillet steaks with damp paper towel, brush with the olive oil and set aside at room temperature for no more than an hour. Combine the salsa ingredients in a bowl.

Heat a barbecue or chargrill pan and add the steaks, cooking for 3-5 minutes on each side (or according to your preference).
Top each steak with salsa and serve with Italian green salad.
