Free Healthy Recipe - Berry Dressing

Dairy free, Low carbohydrate

Walnut oil is a good source of omega 3 fatty acids. Like many other foods rich in Omega 3, it is volatile and can become rancid if exposed to heat, sunlight or old age. There's no economy in buying a large bottle unless you plan to use a lot of it quickly. I particularly like this berry dressing with its sweet and tangy taste. Combining antioxidants from the berries with Omega 3 fats from the oil it healthily transforms the simplest green salad.

Ingredients
150 grams strawberries, (approx 3 or 4 large berries)
1/3 cup walnut oil
Method

Blend the ingredients together in a food processor or liquidizer and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Store walnut oil in a dark place to prolong shelf time.

Makes 4 servings (serve = 1/4 cup)
