Free Healthy Recipe - Chia Granola

Dairy free, Low GI, Low sugar, Wheat Free

Evidently the word granola is a trademark of Sanitarium which means no one else can use it. I suspect they are fighting a losing battle. Toasted, oats and nuts are most crunchy than natural muesli and toasted in agave (or maple syrup if you have no agave) makes this a breakfast cereal most people love. Serve it was we've done with any fruit on season and you're well on the way to a very healthy day.

Ingredients
200 grams rolled oats
70 grams coconut chips
50 grams walnuts, chopped
50 grams almonds, chopped
50 grams hazelnuts, chopped
50 grams pepitas
50 grams sunflower seeds
2 tbsp chia seeds
200 grams cranberries
150 grams figs, sliced
4 grams cinnamon, ground
Method

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Combine all the dry ingredients together.
Melt the coconut oil and add agave and vanilla. Pour over the mix and using your hands, combine the mixture together to coat completely with the syrup mix.
Spread the mixture out onto baking trays and bake for 30 minutes turning every 10 minutes to prevent the granola burning.

Makes 18 servings (serve = 0.5 cup, or 50g)
