Free Healthy Recipe - Ground Mint Chutney

Dairy free, Low carbohydrate, Low fat, Low sugar, Wheat Free

In India a chutney (or chatni) is made from crushing fresh seasonal or local fresh ingredients. Preserving agents, such as sugar and vinegar are not used as chutneys in India are made to be eaten straight away - a much better way to preserve the integrity of the nutrients.

Ingredients
1 cup mint
2 cloves garlic, crushed
pinch salt
1 tbsp maple syrup
4 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp water
Method

Place the mint, shallots, chilli, garlic, salt, maple syrup, garam masala, lime juice and water in a food processor. Blend the ingredients until smooth, adding a little extra water if required.

Note: Garam masala is a blend of fennel seeds, cinnamon, caraway seeds, pepper, cloves and green cardamom seeds. Quality spices can be purchased through www.herbies.com.au
