Smoked mackerel is available in supermarkets. On its own it's extremely strong and very salty, but combined with a soft sheep's yoghurt, lemon and wasabi it's delicious. This pate will store well in the fridge for up to 5 days. Serve it as an entrée to a main meal with some salad green and slices of avocado, or on oatcakes with fresh sprouts and slices of vine ripened tomatoes.
