Dry roast sea salt and set aside in a suribachi.
Wash and dry roast sesame seeds. Add the seeds to the sea salt and grind suribachi until two thirds of the seeds are crushed. This is to add flavour and is sprinkled over grains, in particular breakfast. This will keep in an airtight container for a few weeks and yield approximately one teaspoon per day.
