Free Healthy Recipe - Oat and sour cherry biscuits

Dairy free, Wheat Free

I made these yesterday and they are dangerously delicious. The batch makes 20 so if you exercise discipline you can serve one with a cup of tea. That said with only 532Kj per biscuit it's no great drama if you down two in one sitting and close the tin firmly after that.
I found dried sour cherries at the supermarket and I urge you to use them as it's the sharp blast of cherry that makes these taste so great.

Ingredients
½ cup pepitas
½ cup tahini
½ cup maple syrup
Method

Pre heat the oven to 180C

Mix the oats, cherries and pepitas together in a bowl.
In another small bowl combine the tahini and maple syrup and stir until smooth. ( a fork seems to work best )
Comine the two.
Line a baking sheet with baking paper and drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the tray - there's no need to be too neat here - the rustic look is good.
Place in the oven to bake for 15 - 20 minutes ir until golden.
Allow to cool then store in an airtight container.

Makes 20 servings (serve = 1 biscuit)
