Food Description:

Cherry-red berries from a species of berberis, resembling a small redcurrant. Flavour is pleasantly acidic and somewhat fruity.

To Buy: Buy barberries whole from Middle Eastern and specialty spice stores.
To Store: Store in an airtight container away from heat and light. If keeping for a long period, store in the freezer to retain colour.
