Iceberg lettuce is a cheap, densely packed, round head of leaves that are pale green in colour and very crispy. Of all the lettuces, iceberg is the least nutritious. It is 90% water and contains almost no nutrients.

Buy crisp heads that are pale green with no wilted soft or discoloured leaves.
Store iceberg in a plastic bag in the crisper of your refrigerator - will store for up to 5 days.
Tips & Tricks:
Salad leaves can be washed and dried easily and thoroughly with less damage to the leaves using a salad spinner.
Can't be cooked.
